UTF-8 Encoded File Not Displayed Correctly

It is possible to save a file encoded in UTF-8 without an initial byte order mark (BOM). On opening the file, Notepad++ "guesses" the encoding mode of the loaded file by seeing if the unicode characters is present in the file. If not, then the ANSI mode will be set automatically.

Simply use Format -> Encode as UTF-8 without BOM, and display should adjust as expected.
